What is IPL Cricket?

The Indian Premier League, more commonly referred to as the IPL Cricket League is a league for top level cricket competitors in India. The league was formed by the Indian BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India), located in Mumbai. The league is run by Chirayu Amin... he serves as the IPL Chairman and Commissioner. There are currently 10 teams in the league, with players not only from India, but of many other nationalities as well. The league was formed largely due to a disagreement between the BCCI and another top league in India, the Indian Cricket League.

The cricket bat

Every cricket player must invest in a cricket bat no matter if they are just beginning the sport or, if they are an advanced player. When a cricketer determines to choose a bat s/he will need to choose from a variety of sizes and weights.

Most cricket bats are constructed from a soft wood such as English willow. These are great choices because of the natural moisture that is conducive to pressing during the manufacturing process. This gives each bat a spring like striking ability. Usually the English willow cricket bat comes in a variety of grades beginning with G1+. This bat is usually the highest of quality with a straight grain. There is minimal marking on the bat. It is not bleached. This is the grade that most experienced amateur players will choose. The highest English willow grade is G4. It is often bleached. It is sometimes covered with oil on the bat face.
